FLINT Membership Process
As a member of FLINT Program Inc., you will have the opportunity to create your own scholarship and be the spark that ignites a scholars goals and aspirations.
Scholarship Creation Process
Determining Your Scholarship Criteria

Members will have free range over the specific qualifications and criteria's for the eligibility of students-ex., GPA limit, essay questions, need or merit based ,etc.

Scholarships can be established on an annual or multi-annual basis.
Establishing Your Scholarship Amount

Members will determine the amount of their annual scholarship fund.

Scholarship amount ranges from as low as $300 to as high as $10,000+.
Student Selection Process
Selecting a Scholarship Recipient

After application submission deadline, FLINT staff meet with scholarship committee to review and select individual scholarship recipients through a nondiscriminatory process.

The scholarship committee will consists of select FLINT staff and community volunteers.

FLINT gives member the option to screen their scholarship applicants and select their own scholarship recipient.
Annual Scholarship Ceremony

FLINT notifies all scholarship winner’s of their award by July 1st.

Scholarship ceremonies will be conducted annually to celebrate our scholarship recipients and our members.

Scholarship awards will be provided to students during the annual scholarship ceremony.
Pricing
Annual Membership Fee
Please Note: Before application can be published, Members will be required to pay both the annual membership fee of $150 plus their scholarship contribution amount. For example, a member that would like to create an annual scholarship for $1,000, would need to pay $1,150 in order for FLINT Program to create/publish their application online.
